Publisher Description
A partial implementation of the long out of print board game Magic Realm. This app is meant to allow people to practice playing Magic Realm without having to set up the space for the board game, or playing the PC version RealmSpeak. This does not teach you how to play Magic Realm, you are expected to understand the basics of how to play it; check out various guides to it on the Board Game Geek site: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/22/magic-realm.
This is only a partial implementation of the game; you can move, search, loot, and fight. Magic, natives, item effects, and related systems are not implemented, although they may be in future updates. Multiplayer over the internet is not supported, although you could play with multiple people using pass-and-play.
This is an open source project. Source code can be found at https://github.com/portablemagicrealm/portablerealm.
Portable Realm is not associated with Richard Hamblen, the creator of Magic Realm; or Avalon Hill, the original publisher.
Nov 19, 2018 Version 1.1.0
Start support for natives: can trade with natives.
Start support for magic: can enchant magic chits and tiles.
Many bug fixes. As some of the bugs deal with the save game code, it is highly recommended that a new game be started.
